Position Description:
|
Reporting to the Fabrication Division General Manager, the Quality Control Manager works together with internal departments of Design, Estimating, Purchasing, Fabrication and Safety to support the completion of fabrication projects. The successful candidate will have previous Quality Control leadership experience within the Oil & Gas Industry, complimented by excellent technical, planning, organizational,and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include:
- Developing Inspection Test Plans for each project and ensuring completion.
- Maintaining our QC \ NCR incident reporting system to monitor all incidents.
- Investigating QC incidents and follow-up ensuring adequate corrective measures are implemented.

Coordinating all Client incident and warranty activities.

Supervising and directing Quality Control personnel.

Performance Monitoring of all NDE and QC service contractors.

Reviewing latest editions of Design & Construction Codes and initiating adjustments to the Quality Control system as required.

Welder Testing and Certification.

Required Qualifications:
|
- Welding or Materials Engineering Technologist diploma or B-Pressure Welding Certificate.
- Previous Quality Control Inspection experience and previous Quality Control leadership experience in pressure equipment Fabrication.
- Thorough understanding of applicable ASME, ANSI and CWB codes as they pertain to the fabrication of structural, vessels and pressure piping equipment.
- Good understanding of oil and gas processes and equipment.
- Strong computer skills including Word processing and spreadsheets.
- Knowledgeable in reading and understanding P&ID’s, piping plans, elevations and piping isometrics.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions.
- Strong organizational skills, high regard to presentation.
