Crude Oil Metering Skid
Client: Enbridge Pipelines Inc. c/o Stantec Engineering
Five crude oil metering skids are approximately 35 ft wide by 35 ft long by 12 ft tall. Each Edmonton metering skid is broken down into 3 modules, approximately 10 – 12 ft wide in order to transport into the location at the terminal. The Hardisty terminal is 12 ft wide by 43 ft long by 10 ft tall.
Responsibilities included mechanical and electrical engineering design and drawings, piping stress analysis, and structural stress analysis. We were also required to procure all equipment (except the free issued meters), pipe, valves, fittings, structural material, and electrical material. Fabrication activities included mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and coating duties.
