Interprovincial Satellite Service Ltd. ("Intersat") Signs New Wireless Data Service Alliance Partner

Calgary - Interprovincial Satellite Service Ltd. ("Intersat") is pleased to announce that it has signed a Wireless Data Services Alliance with Crimtech Services Ltd. ("Crimtech). Under the terms of the Agreement, Crimtech is authorized to re-sell Intersat's industry-leading IP Anywhere wireless data services to the Canadian oil and gas industry. Intersat and Crimtech will launch this relationship early next week with trial installations of IP Anywhere service for a major Canadian oil and gas producer.

Of particular interest to Crimtech will be the integration of the IP Anywhere service with its patented FloDrip^® Wellhead Separator (Cdn. Patent #2,235,452; US Patent # 5,972,061). The FloDrip^® is a cost-effective and performance-enhancing alternative to conventional separator packages, with an installed base of over 1,100 units in its first two years of availability. Crimtech provides the FloDrip^® and related production enhancement services to a large and growing customer base in the Canadian oil and gas industry, including Renaissance Energy, PanCanadian Petroleums, Imperial Oil, Canadian Natural Resources and Gulf Canada Resources.

Intersat's IP Anywhere services employ various wireless data technologies to extend the Internet past the desktop office PC to include all of the electronic devices and assets in the field owned or operated by industrial customers. This includes fixed assets such as oil and gas wells, compressor stations, pipelines, fluid storage tanks, utility meters, environment meters, as well as certain mobile assets. With IP Anywhere, customers have access to and control over their electronic assets, regardless of nature or location, as a secure extension of the Internet or corporate intranet, for a low monthly fee.
